Our new team member, Tristan Green is already playing a key role in supporting and connecting the charities in our buildings.
Joining Norton Park in September, Tristan’s experience and values of advancing community development, and fostering cooperation among our charities directly aligns with ours, making him the ideal person to join the team.
Tristan’s work will centre on building connections, promoting collaboration, and helping charities unite towards shared goals and a stronger collective impact.
In his role, Tristan is working to transform Norton Park from being a supportive landlord into a central hub where local charities can flourish. His duties include facilitating partnerships, organising events, and assisting charities in accessing local resources, all with a focus on sustainable community support.
Tristan began his career as an occupational therapist within the NHS. His training and experience in occupational therapy taught him how to problem-solve, focusing on how people function. He soon recognised these skills as highly transferable, particularly in understanding the needs of individuals. This experience would later pave the way for his transition into the charity sector.
Following the onset of the pandemic, Tristan moved into a community action role with the Ripple Project, a community centre in an area of high deprivation.
His work at Ripple Project, spanning over four and a half years, gave him a deep understanding of the third sector. His move to Norton Park as a development worker is a natural progression, bringing together his experience in partnership building with his commitment to fostering collaboration among charities.
Outside of work, Tristan is an avid sports fan, passionately following Arsenal, and more recently, becoming obsessed with basketball. He also co-hosts a film and TV podcast with a friend, a venture that reflects his love for media and storytelling.
With family connections in Jamaica, Tristan’s favourite dish, curried goat, is both a nod to his heritage and a way to connect with his fond memories of family and friends.
