Richard Atkins

Richard has over forty years’ experience in the construction industry, qualifying as a Chartered Architect in 1991 and provides consultancy advice to Communities Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, The City of Edinburgh Council, SUST, WWF, HEEPI and more.   Presenting at academic and industry conferences, along with teaching part time at the University of Edinburgh. He is a Member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association, along with being Managing Director of Home Energy & Data.  Alongside his design work, Richard provides Certification of Design (Section 6 – Energy) services to a wide range of the industry, assisting in the optimisation of the energy performance of new and existing dwellings.
